High Plains is accredited by the American College of Radiology to offer 3D digital mammography. This is a superior tool designed for early breast cancer detection. With adjustable machinery, this is a faster, more comfortable experience than traditional mammograms.

Woman aged 40 – 50 with average risk for breast cancer are advised to discuss the benefits of mammogram with their provider. From age 50-70, women at average risk should be screened every 1-2 years. Anyone with a family history of breast or other risk factors may be recommended to start screening earlier.

If you do not have insurance or think you cannot afford your cancer screenings, please call your provider team at High Plains Community Health Center. We may be able to register you for programs which will allow you to access our services for FREE or at a reduced rate.
