High Plains is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.  The majority of board members are also users of the health center.  The basic responsibilities of the board include:

 

1. Define and preserve the mission of the organization

2. Make policy

3. Safeguard the assets of the center

4. Select, evaluate and support the Executive Director

5. Monitor and evaluate center and board performance

6. Plan for the long-range future of the center
